Default Opinons on wastegate placement.

Time to mount the wastegate on my home made turbo setup. I bought a PTE 46mm wastegate and would like some opinions on where to mount it. I have an idea, but would love to hear what others have to say. I know there are a pile of turbo systems out there that have the wastegate mounted right into the side of the collector, which is easy, but I am hoping to hold singe digit boost(8-9psi) and I am afraid a wastegate mounted like that will not have the control I want.

Here are a couple pics of what I've got.

I thought it needed to have the wastegate PRIOR to the exhaust flange. Yours is after the exhaust flange. Not sure if that would work. I am curious also.

I've always built my kits with the wg as close to the turbo as possiable . I've haven't had any problems holding 6 psi on any of my junk yard kits . You'll have alot of different opinions that's just what's works for me .

This is what I would do if there's room, hard to tell from the pics. You could also make an outlet on each on the bends before the merge and y them together so the gate is getting priority from both banks.

You could always just vent one side. Ive done it before. While not optimal it still works.

Id put two elbows off the merge and mount it on top.

That could provide nice WG priority if there is room to do it.
