Default Hollow ls3 and inconel ly6 valves in an lsa head?

Just curious what people thought of this ls3/ly6 combo for forced induction. I'll be running an f1a at 20psi on a 6L and need valves for the bare lsa heads I bought.

I'm running these valves in my L92s working great so far with a few dozen dyno pulls to 7500@ 20psi.

Does the hollow stem and 2 piece inconel design cause any concerns about durability?

Is the other option people use ferrea f1892p and f2010p?

Looks like another $225 to upgrade to ferrea... Worth it?

Anybody have the weights of these 4 different valves?

I think the LS3/LY6 valves were $377 and the Ferrea hollow intake/super alloy was like $600

Here are the weights:

Ferrea f2010p hollow intake = 108.6 grams
Ferrea f1892p super alloy = 98.6 grams

Stock LS3 intake = 89 grams
Stock LY6 exhaust = ? grams

Stock L92 intake = 109 grams
Stock L92 exhaust = 89

Anyone know the weight of the LY6 exhaust valve?

Thoughts on the weight difference between the LS3 and Ferrea intake valves?

Should I post in internal engine?

When I weighed my valves I got 89g for the LS3 intake, and 91g for the LY6 exhaust.

Cool, thanks.

I think I'm just going to get the ferreas. I'm only revving to 7k on a fairly mild blower cam, so the weight won't make as much difference as the added strength will.

The lobes on the cam will allow you to use any of the above valves.

I'm in the same boat as you right now-I was going to use some Hollow Stem GM intakes but now I'm a bit scared since there a 3 piece.

I heard the REV 2.165 intakes are as light as the Ferrea Hollow Stems-however I cannot find any info online.

As far as exhaust goes-I'm just going to use the stock exhaust valves that come on the LSA heads, no need for inconel with a street blower.

Good to know, I was thinking about emailing you to see how those valves would get along with the cam and bt springs

I just changed my valves to Ferrea and used super alloys on the exhaust. I broke a valve spring (mechanical over reved the engine) and the valve touched a piston. I considered going to LS3 valves but then started thinking if I had those the valve probably would have broken and cost the whole motor. The REV valve that was in there just bent a little and did no other damage.

All the lobes I uses are rpm and boost friendly-and easy on springs too.

I've had to learn the hard way!

pulled the trigger on this combo

Ferrea f2010p hollow intake = 108.6 grams
Ferrea f1892p super alloy = 98.6 grams

got them for $537 shipped, which was hard to turn down. Best price I could find on the stock valves was $377 shipped.
