Default Good place to start on tune.

Stock bottom end 5.3
Rings opened up
ARP rod bolts
Mid 22x cam
Stock heads
70mm turbo
Dual intank pumps
80lb injectors

Will be running e85 with no inter cooler. Thinking of starting with a 9 temp plug. Will be slowly turning the boost up to 14+. Will be 3 bar SD via hp tuners.

Thoughts?

Default

1) Get the injectors setup properly
2) Get the car to idle properly
3) Start with conservative timing
4) Dial in the non-boost region of VE under steady state driving
5) WOT / Boost in VE table
6) Start to add timing back in

Right, understand all that.

But where is the good start for timing? 15* 18* 20*

NA stuff I normally start at 20-24* depending on combo (stock vs cam vs heads/cam).
