1954 Corvette 4.8/MPT72/LS9 Cam
This is my latest spec build car, a 1954 Corvette with a 4.8/NV3500 out of a Silverado. I hung a Master Power T72 on it, it has a car intake with 60 pound injectors and a Bosch 044. It also gets an LS9 cam and decent valve springs, I'm looking to build a fun street car that makes boost fast. A lot of the fab work is done, it's about halfway to being a driver. It has a centered Explorer 8.8 with disc brakes and Wilwoods for the front. I also had to move the rear leaf springs inboard, otherwise the chassis is all stock. The car will look like a cross between a 54 Corvette and a 427SC Cobra. This should be a fun one.

Soooo... you neck down coming out of the MAF.... only to neck back up with a coupler at the TB.... why not just put the right sized pipe in there?
Nice combo on ci,turbo, and camshaft. I would install the cam advanced 4 degrees if you can. The IVC of that cam installed straight up is very late.... un necessarily so.

I rescued the car from body shop hell. The previous owner bought it and sent it off for paint, the body shop took it all apart and painted it. About a month later they went out of business and the shop was locked up in a receivership for almost a year. When he got his car back all the parts were missing, including the motor and transmission. I got a good deal on what was left of the car which is what you see plus most of the trim.
My first thought was that I should restore it and flip it but parts for this thing are ridiculous. $2500 for a radio? Check. $3500 for the correct cylinder head? Oh and you want carbs with that too? It was a joke. I have less in the entire drivetrain including the turbo than I would have had in a pair of side curtains. There were 3000-ish of these things made so not as rare as a 53 or 55 but still rare enough to **** off the Corvette guys!
Thanks! In true Sloppy Mechanics spirit all the turbo piping for this build came from my scrap bin.
Hence the necking up and necking down...
