Im trying to do a budget minded turbo build on my 07 silverado. And ive got a few questions. So ill start. Will a stock ls3 cam out of a 2010 ss camaro work well in my truck? Ive reviewed the specs and it seems to be comparable to a ls6 cam but in single bolt instead of 3 bolt design. Is the ls3 cam a factory vvt cam or does the motor have dod? If yes, how will it effect the compatibility of the ls3 cam in my engine? Will the stock ls3 springs and pushrods work in my factory 243 heads? Due to the turbo size it wont see more than 15 lbs ever and likely 10-12 nearly always. Or would it b wise to run aftermarket springs and pushrods due to possible valve float under boost? On to the boost questions.... im planning on running an ebay gt45 turbo with flipped manifolds. I think the turbo is 69/77 but not sure. Anyways, what size wastegate and bov should i run? What brands? I think thats all my questions for now. Thanks in advance.
