Looks great. I will be watching to see how the 2" hotside works...I have been debating on using 2" for my LT1. Good luck...very nice so far!!

Sorry for the delay. I spent 3/4 of the summer building/finishing the car and the last 1/4 beating on it at Holley LS fest, Drag Week, LSX shootout, and 1500 miles of driving it to car shows and such. Unfortunately in that time the SD card in my phone took a crap so I lost some of my pictures.

This is the mount i made and then bolted to the frame rail

Man, your finished product looks great. It looks to me like the turbo is tilted forward a bit with the compressor pointing down a bit. Is it just me or is it tilted that way. I like how you got the passenger inner fender in place too.

I still havent done my cold side as i have been away from home alot this year for work and kids get in the way sometimes. Its all good though. Now after looking at your setup i may change my hot side to 2" also and try to get the turbo lower.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks, it is tilted slightly forward. It wasn't on purpose but the frame flows downward where the turbo is mounted. I chose to keep the fenderwell and cut it because I drive it on the street so much that without them road grime goes everywhere. Good choice on going 2", it is easier to package and defiantely helps the little 5.3 turn that 1.32 ar hotside.

I also used that same S475 1.32ar on an old school 385 w/LT1 impala manis
with 2.5" tubing so I tape wrapped the hotside to retain the heat energy
and kick that big old wheel (like yours). Looks really clean and the power
and reliability of the BW rules for the price !!!!...NICE BUILD !!!

How many miles do you think you have on the setup now? I ask cause i always see the guys saying to put flex sections in the hot side so that nothing cracks. I noticed you dont have any obviously. Do you run solid motor and trans mounts?

I have around 3,500 and around 60 passes which included 1200 from drag week. The motor has solid mount but the trans is urethane.

What engine mounts did you use for the ls swap? Your motor looks to be more forward in the subframe than mine.

Also, did you modify your own manifolds? They look great.

I used the moroso solid mounts I had on my sbc with car shops 1" set back ls adapters. It put the 5.3 in the same locatiom as my sbc. I did have to put a 1/4" spacer plate under the car shop mounts on each side to make the mounts line up perfect. Yes I modified the truck manifolds. The driver side was easy, just hacked of the original outlet and had a v band welded on. The passenger side required a little more work, i basically graphed a piece of 2" stainless sch 40 to the manifold. We mig welded it, so its not the prettiest thing to look at but functions very well.
