Default 5.3 gt45 4l80e what gears!!!!

Going back and forth on what gears to run on my 8.8 3.55 or 3.27
My set up is
2002 5.3 lm7
706 heads
Victor Jr
Custom can similar to the tu1
90mm TB
3400 py Yank lock up
4l80e
E85
And the famous gt45 turbo
Will be running 17-18psi
Car should weigh from 3200-3500
Also will be locking the torque converter at wot thanks!

I am running a similar set up and going with 3.55s Why? Because that is what I have. Might have to drop down at some point.

Ive always had goodluck with 273 to 355. if your a daily driver. if your just drag racing maybe 373 or 410. I've went from 273 to 373 and to be honest no difference in the et . And it sucked to drive with 373.

4.10s??? Ill be maxing that gear??? I'm thinking of trapping from 136-142 I don't care about drivable. Its a weekend worrior and track car

My goal is to run a high 9s if I Can't with this Turbo ill be upgrading to the pt7675

You will have issues loading the motor to build boost with 4.10s. I have 3.55s and they work pretty well with a 4L80E.

3.50 here, 18psi and trap about 142mph on stock 5.3 4l80 yank converter

Yea this ain't a NA car my friend has 3.27 that he'll give me but not sure if 3.55 worth the money

Use the 3.27 and that single disk Yank won't hold lockup too long before it burns the clutch at WOT. Done it twice.

Why a 80 if its a weekend warrior or track car? I have 3.08 in my rear and it spools the turbo nicely.

Cuz I drive sometimes to car meets out of town 80 miles alway

i can share i had 3.55s in my fairmont with a 80e and the 5.3, lockup converter i would trap 141mph at 6600 or so with a 27 inch radial

i went low 10s with a 2.73 rear gear, and 40% slip in my converter with a th400 about 200 times
