Just curious if any of you guys deleted your wipers and how bad it is if you get caught in the rain? I'm trying to decide whether to cut my cow and delete them or not before engine goes in.

That's what rain-x is for, and if that doesn't work, drive faster.

No wipers and RainX here. Works good. Street driven but not a cross country type car.

My car will be a toy driven on mostly weekends and occasionally during the week on nice days, I don't care for the extended hoods though so I'd have to make a metal un boltable filler piece or something...

Most of the time the tires i have on wont let me drive in the rain anyway. I got stuck once in a storm and simple had to pull over and wait.

I don't get the cutting the cowl deal? There are so many guys going fast, making power (see sig) that to cut the cowl for an intake setup that seems to offer no advantage until you get to stupid power levels, why do it?

You already said the car will be driven on nice days. I think you answered your own question no?

This. . .

I agree, mine isnt cut and should be in the 1k range. Cutting cowl and ditching wipers=race car!

Deleting the wipers is not a must for me I just like the fact that the rear of the engine is much more accessable after the cowl is cut. I will be using a ls6 manifold so no issue there. The car is not a race car it will see the street alot more then the track, thanks for the replys decisions decisions...

who really wants to drive a 600-1000rwhp car in the rain anyways? I say thats asking for trouble in most cases.

My wiper motor, and wipers are gone. That is free MPH as far as weight savings.

Like many have said, a good coat of rain-x and that **** will float right off the windshield anyway.

If your only considering it because of an intake swap I would say no. Just my $0.02

I've been there. I just used rainx but usually I wouldn"t drive it to far if there's a chance of rain. Don't cut it there's way's around that. You can make plenty of power and run pretty fast without having to do that.
