Default 6.0 + S480 = 1289 rear wheel horsepower.

In the first dyno flog of the newest design Billet 80mm compressor wheel from Forced Inductions for the S400 turbo, a 249 rear wheel horsepower gain was realized in comparative testing against the cast 80mm wheel.

Cast wheel made 1040 with the gate pinned shut making 23-24 psi. Billet wheel made 1289/1107 @ 29 psi with the gate pinned shut.

Both turbos had the 96/1.32 hotside. A 1.58 housing will be tested shortly.

Been trying for an hour to get photobucket to work and cant... i have pics of the turbo to post if i could get some help.

More details on thet engine please. Those are some awesome numbers.
Turn that down to 20 psi and you'd have one hell of a car/truck that has a bigger bullet to load into the chamber if need be!

That is big power out of that unit. I wondered what a billet wheel would do in an S400!

Here are pics of the wheels and of the actual turbo!

Awesome gain on the Billet wheel. Think i'll swap my cast s480 just because of this. Obv not a stock motor running 29psi

what would be a better bang for the buck, s475 upgraded to cast 80mm, machine cover, balance, or s475 upgraded to billet 75? (s475 is 1.32ar 96mm t6)

For you? Probably a 75 billet. Keep the wheel weight down and you ARE maxxing that turbo out, lol. Another 150+ BHP sure would make a difference in your car without being detrimental to spool.

Very interesting. I have been looking for a wheel upgrade on my S480. Is there any way to get a 23-24 psi comparison with the new wheel?
