Default FI.com lists tc78 (1000hp) why?

Im curious as to why forced induction lists the tc78 as a 1000HP turbo when all of the other vendor list it in the 650-800 range. Am i missing something? As far as i am aware i have never seen a tc unit make anywhere near 1000hp.

Thats at the crank and what the compressor wheel is capable of. Doesn't mean it will do it in every application. When used on a smaller engine the backpressure wouldn't hold it back as much as say a 5+ L v8

Most of the people that use this turbo are 5.3-4.8 so you would think those guys would get close to those numbers. I am aware Thats crank hp

much much smaller engines can get closer to that number, the turbine wheel size will kill it for us. But the 1.8-3.0l can do really well with those turbine wheels. For a semi relevant size comparison some of the 67/65 equipped evos and hondas have crept up on the 900whp area.
