Boostfed

I'm swapping in an LQ4 into my 99 camaro for my turbo build. I cant put my alternator bracket on the LQ4 without drilling and tapping a hole apperently, but then it would still only be held on by 2 bolts instead of 3. I've noticed most people relocate their alternators anyways. If I relocate my alternator how can I get enough belt wrap around my water pump since I'm not running any power steering? Would it just be better to run the truck accessories and pullies with the alt on the drivers side head or swap over everything from my LS1 and drill and tap my block for the alt. bracket? Do any of you know if it will clear the hood if the alternator is mounted on the head?
