Well I was going to build a 5.3 then ran across a good deal on a 5.7 LS1 so I bought it, tore it down and rebuilt the engine. I replaced cam bearings, main, rod bearings, ARP rod bolts, timing chain, oil pump, lifters, 02 LS6 cam, Brian Tooley springs and Lloyd Elliott ported the factory heads along with KMJ headstuds. I bought a set of truck manifolds that I am going to use facing forward, truck intake manifold along with alky/meth for cooling. Now Idk if I should buy a ST80 turbo which is good for 1,100Hp, go with the trusty BW S475 or go with two smaller turbos like Denmah put on the 3rd gen that made 650rwhp. Id be happy to make 700rwhp thru either a TH400 or Powerglide trans. The car will be 3,100lbs with me, street/strip, Fab 9' rear with 3.50 gears and will see a decent amount of time on the street. I also haven't decided wether or not to use a stock PCM or go with the MS3? The only parts that I am missing is the turbo or turbos, 80# injectors and EFI setup. What do you guys think?
