Device to store a tune
I have a ProCharged 416 that I would like to be able to swap from a 3.85 pulley to a 4.25 pulley and back and fourth depending on what I'm doing with the car. Is there a device that I can hook to the 2002 camaro computer that will enable me to swap the tune back depending on what pulley I am running?
It is a speed density tune.

I'm curious of this also! It would be great for me to be able to switch back and forth between a e85 tune and a 91 octane tune! I'm thinking that we would possibly be able to do it with the hptuners hand held tuner once it's done by laptop by a professional tuner?

Thread was back in '09, did these things take off. It wouldn't seem that way since I have never heard of it or seen a new article. Sounds like a really cool product though.

It was a poor attempt at sarcasm.
Anyways, for a boosted/built setup like yours, having the proper tuning software in your hands is worth its weight in gold and practically considered standard equipment. And compared to a dual PROM PCM, EFI Live or HP Tuners is hardly considered special equipment.

You guys have me a little lost with the sharp wits and clever back and forth banter but here is my question.
Would it be beneficial to have the twin chips and switch, have a normal tune, then say flip a switch to have your nitrous tune come on?
Or...
Someone else is saying carry your laptop with you, with various saved tunes (HP or EFI) and load them as necessary so you don't need a switch?

The dual chip sounds good, I need to talk to my tuner and see what he thinks about it.

As far as I knew, you dont NEED the laptop to flash a tune. I always keep my laptop with me so it hasn't occurred to me to try and flash it without it.
You also dont NEED the laptop to datalog a run, I have done that with only EFI Live. I also have less than $1000 into my EFI Live and still have credits left, meaning I could do a tune for someone else and recoop money. You only need a wideband with an analog output and the tuning software.
I just see the dual PROM thing being a PITA without actually owning the software to modify the tunes, but to each his own.

No, but for people who don't do their own tuning it would be nice if they came out with a handheld flash device to be able to have multiple tunes. When I tuned subarus I could tune a guys car and have up to 50 tunes loaded on their hand held flash device that they could change on their own without a laptop (some tunes on the fly) which came in handy for e85 tunes, race gas, economy, ect.

You can log without a laptop but I don't think you can load a tune. Although I've never had a reason to try it or look into it with HP Tuners.
