Default Is this a gas or diesel based turbo?

There is a BW s476 for sale close to me.
It's part number 171702
Is this a viable turbo for my lq4?
And is $550 a reasonable price for one new in the box?

diesel. but it doesn't really matter. several guys on here have had great success from BW units of similar stats. that is a good price for a new one, as they sell for about $600 new on ebay. I say go for it, you have the engine bay room and the 6.0 will spool it easier than the 5.3, and some have run them one those

Its a good deal on $500 bucks, specially if its close to you. Diesel or not diesel it will work good on that LQ4. Is it a bonestock LQ4?

it is right now. I plan on studding the heads and cam and springs, but that was about it.

I don't mind spending more on a turbo if it's going to be better for the combination.
I'm not trying to change the earths rotation, but I don't want a dog either.

Best prices on the s400s I could find. We just did a s475 on a stock LQ4, shipped for $691. Might be worth a look.

Good luck.
