Default Anyone knife edged a divided turbo housing?

As the title states. I am wondering if anyone has taken a divided turbo housing and filed it down to a knife edge to create less resistance when using a non divided manifold?

I would love to know if anyone has done back to back testing of this. I believe it would help boost come in faster, though it might be minimal it would still be cool to see the results.

I've seen it done. It can help with Max power output but not necessarily spool times. If you want faster spool with a divided housing get a spool valve.

I did it on mine, only because I used a open flange and then filled to reduce turbulence. It may make a difference but hard for me to say

It can certainly do no harm, but as to whether any difference would be measurable...doubtful.

You dont knife edge it. You round it over like the leading edge of an airplane wing.

Thank you to all of you for your input. I just wanted to see if anyone had any back to back results via dyno or data logs.

Maybe I will just have to be the test mule. Thanks again.
