Default s475 and a 5.3 post your hp and boost numbers please

Been watching for a while now and geting close to ordering a turbo. I was going to go with a on3 76mm but iam now thinking it wont make what I want it to. 18 to 22 psi 700 whp

All fresh 5.3 arp main studs rod bolts and head studs
Lightly ported stock 03 5.3 heads not sure on what ones I have
Custom cam needs ordered yet
Ported ls2 intake and 92mm tb
Will be on e85 !!
Power glide trans thinking a 3500 stall needs ordered yet
9" ford with 3.23 gears, gears not ordered yet can be changed if needed
All going in a 1999 s10 weight around 2900 pounds plus me

Here is a pic of the truck

So iam now looking at a s475 t6 or t4 what ever will work better. Truck is geting built for drag raceing but will see street time also.Shoting for 700whp if its doable

Please post your set ups with that turbo and how much boost and power your making with a 5.3
Thanks mike

The s475 will get you there for sure..... I'm assuming a trans brake and 2-step for the track? I would do a 83 or 87mm turbine with a 1.10 housing. Problem is packaging it in these little trucks. The s400's are big and the downpipe is the only thing holding me back from using it. A 3" downpipe is going to suck to fit let alone a 4" or 5".

On a side note....how the heck will you get your truck down to 2900 lbs? I'm going to be lucky to see 3500 with my aluminum 5.3. These trucks aren't as light as I thought.

1.32 AR T6 S475 on a 100k+ mile stock 5.3 with custom hydraulic cam and holley tunnel ram with a th400 and a old LOOSE convertor for a bolt-on LS1 made 569hp on my dyno dynamics on 11psi and E85. Stepped it up later to 17psi and it made alot more steam but didn't show on the dyno from blowing through the convertor. Went straight to 61-6200rpm once it hit 17psi. Did belch out 63x hp though.

To give an idea how much the convertor sucks it ran 6.10's on 11psi and only managed a 6.0 on 17psi. He is planning on a new converter and I have no doubt when we push the car it'll see some 5.60's. This is all in a Fox body.

My truck with the rts wheels and no sway bar came in at 2860 now thats the 4cyl 5 speed, iam ditching everything under the dash no ac or heat going to a manual steering box they say there lighter, removing the iner fenders they have some weight to them and I now have a roll pan on it so saved some weight there

Awesome! I was under the impression that these weren't easy to get down to that weight. I really need to weigh mine before I do the swap. Though from what I read it won't change much going from the 4.3 to a aluminum 5.3. They weigh almost the exact same.....

Guess I will have some competition in the coming months. I better get on the ball Though mine is gonna be geared more towards the street.

I'm in on this one. I will be upgrading my mpt70 to an s475 with a t4 housing. I'm hoping for 700rwhp+ on E85. My little 70 put down 587rwhp at 12.8lbs so I think it will be possible with the s475.

Had a S475/83/T4 run 158mph@3300+ lbs on a 6.0L@16~17 psi. Should be good for a tad more hp and boost on a good 5.3L.
