coolant system problem..

Default coolant system problem..

so i am doing a LS swap in an old truck.new radiator also.i started filling my radiator up and then started it up idleing to warm up and start bleeding the system.my problem is that my coolant started getting like a brownish color and foaming up and out the cap....has anyone seen this or herd of this happening?is it somthing to be concerend with? need some help on this please

was it a new radiator? is the heater core new? sounds like rusty water somewhere.

brand new aluminum radiator and not running heat.could this just be all breaking/coming from the coolant jackets and stuff from sitting for so long?junkyard motor

go to autozone and get the coolant flush stuff, it'll clean a bunch of contaminates that are in your hoses etc... then put the water hose and blast it through your radiator while the engine is running and then drain it all.... worth a shot.

Mine was like that on my 6.0 . I just kept flushing it out and it finally cleaned up.
