Default What happens when it's TOO COLD!

Last night I tried to go for my 5 sec pass. We had a few video shots and put a Go Pro on the side of the car. It was just too cold, track too slick, and way too much dew. I still gave it a shot. I already know this was stupid, so no need to bash. However, it was one hell of an adrenaline rush! It's weird how your mind doesn't realize that the pass is finished before it starts....for some reason your mind still thinks you can run the number. lol

I won't get another shot for 2 weeks when I go to Super Chevy and run the 1/4.

Enjoy....

I did the same thing last year. It was actually snowing a little bit. I had to turn the boost down to make any attempt at a pass. I used up a perfectly good pair of underwear too.

I know the owner but he banned me for the rest of the night....and he is my friend. lol It was just too cold and NO big tire cars were there so the "groove" was very hard to get in. I probably just lined a couple inches out of it. I should have let out but I had that damn Go Pro camera on there and I knew they would post the video regardless so figured I better run her out.

Not until right before the finish. I never hit a cone...I was proud of that but trying to miss the last cone I finally lost control of it more than I wanted and let completely off. You can here in the video of it sliding sideways pretty good at the finish.

Stay out of it when things go south. No way it would run a good number, no reason to try and salvage the pass. You are one lucky dude. Be careful

I agree. I just need to realize that. It's like your brain still thinks you can run the number. I was lucky.

Fark you're game getting back into it like that. We had an off street meet here that i helped run, unprepped track, street tyres only, go easy kinda thing. This bloke got outta shape twice, 3rd time came unstuck.. Happens that easy.
