Default holley 12-1800 fuel pumps for FI

Anyone use one of these Holley dominator 12-1800 fuel pumps? Reliability? Horsepower support on e85? These look like a nice pump/s to use with my sumped tank. thanks

I just got the 12-1400 yesterday and it looks like a nice well-made pump.

The 1400 is rated to 1125 hp @43psi
The 1800 is rated to 1400 ho @43 psi - both gas of course, so say 30% less on e85???

I just got my 12-1400 this week as well. From outward appearance the pump looks extremely well made. Dennis from Moore Racecraft has given this pump an excellent review and uses many in his builds. I am looking forward to using this pump and ditching my Fuelab stuff which is constantly troublesome.

Ive got 3 of the 12-1400 pumps a single 12-1400 should do 900-1000 on E85. The 12-1800 should do 1100 or so on E85 And on the plus side they are so quite you cant even hear them run.

Except on a boosted engine, you'll almost never be running 43psi.

Say you retain the typical LS1 base pressure of 60psi, + 20psi boost, that's 80psi of FP required...

How much do they flow now ?

You could easily be sub 1000hp max on gasoline.

If you did retain a 43psi base pressure...with 20psi boost you're back over 63psi pump pressure, so again sub 1200hp max on gasoline.

So on E85 ? looks to me like they'll struggle to make the numbers.

Just bare it in mind.

Im pissed at holley on this. I bought the 12-800 and later saw where it wasn't compatible with E85 which I thought was strange. I called their tech and they told me E85 was not recommended and will void warranty. So I sent pump back to summit and got hit with a 25-30 % restock fee and now they say it's ok for E85... I ended up going with a magnafuel 4303. Works great but loud and super heats fuel.

"So I sent pump back to summit and got hit with a 25-30 % restock fee "

Huh? Have returns items at nearly 6 mo's, and never got that hit.

Got my pump ordered. Should be perfect for my build. It's about 1.5 weeks out from Holley.

I got mine all hooked up and running. You can barely hear the damn things!!! I had to turn off the radio in the garage and check to see if I had fuel pressure.

So far so good.

AES in Elk Grove Village had mine for me in one day. If you need the number and dont want to wait give me a call and I can get you in touch with them.

I bought one (12-1400) for my E85 Whipple'd 6.0 swap. Hope to see just north of 600 to the wheels with it. Not installed yet though.

I have one of the 12-1800 pumps. I have not had a chance to turn the boost way up yet, but it is quiet as the others have said.

Not sure what I was making for power but I never went lean on my 313ci at 7500 rpm at 20lbs twin 6162 turbos on E85. But im also running a blow thru carb. I would say around 650 or more to the wheels?
