Procharger D1SC....cam /intake question
I currently installed a D1SC with a front mount cooler with a 4.5" pulley 8 rib setup on my stock LS1 that has 76k miles on it .And have a few questions first wondering if I should install a LS6 or a 224 cam .Second should I just stick with a LS6 intake or run my Fast 90/90 setup I had before the install. Currently I have a base tune till I hit the dyno in next few weeks. So far I took out once on the street and saw approx 9lbs .MODS in sig on car.Dont really care about having max power but 500 rwhp would be nice.Hoping to run atleast one 9 sec pass would be awsome

I'd run the ls6 and sell fast setup. If you want stock idle go ls6 cam if you want lope go 224 cam. What is the LSA on the 224? I have a 228/228 113 LSA and it runs great.

fast 90 is a waist when you have boost IMO. Sell it for big $ and buy a cheap ls6 intake. Also I would just go with the ls6 cam and just up the boost a little if you want more power. That way the ls6 cam will be nice and easy on the engine and valvetrain and you can just use the blower to make more power. This is what I will be doing. Plus ls6 cam is cheaper

I have a 255 with the hot wire kit and 60lb injectors which I'm hoping will be okay not really wanting more power then around 500 anytime soon.I'm thinking the 224 is on a 112 .I've been putting this together for last year and finally got it done work was getting in the way.Looks like I"ll get a LS6 cam before the dyno tuning.

My blower cam has a great sound and will give you a large increase in power. You can check it out at the above link.
The FAST 90 intake has proven itself to create boost leaks, I'd stay away from it. The FAST 92 is a much better intake manifold. Bob

If you want a milder cam or one that isn't hard on the valve train all of my boost cam grinds utilize a very mild lobe which will not hurt valve train parts or need springs replaced every 10-15k miles.
IMO there is no point in using an aggressive lobe profile with boost. No need to open and close the valve as fast as you would on a N/A set-up.
