Default Spare Parts Sleeper (99 GMC Turbo Build)

So after a few previous turbo builds i have accumulated some spare parts in my garage, and I really didnt want to sell them. So i searched for something real cheap that i could throw these parts at.

After searching for a couple weeks i found this gem.

Regular Cab Short Box (obviously)
Z71 4x4
bunch of options that just add weight
220k miles
Picked it up for around $1000 (the other side has been hit)

Picked up a spare motor for $150 a few weeks ago too, just because it was cheap.

Hmmm... This might be useful

Had this manifold sitting around when an ebay company sent me one too many on accident

Now we're getting somewhere.

Yes, i left a bunch of extra height so i could chop it off after i know how much room i have in the truck.

And ill say in now since it gets worse later. I DO NOT care about how bad the welds looks, it is a cheap welder and this truck is not supposed to look pretty!

So then i started to tear apart the truck.

Not bad for 220k miles eh?

Here dad, let me help you!

Gotta make that 4" core fit, because im not about to buy a different one, so had to take out the sawzall.

Maybe drop about an inch but it fits pretty damn good

Hmm... Well guess i dont want a clutch fan anymore.

Ah, much better.

Finally started tuning the truck today...

Found out a couple things.

I should have trimmed a bit more....

That and the trucks only come stock with 26lb injectors, so i maxxed them out pretty quick... So now i need to wait for my pigtails to show up for the 60lb ones.

Speaking of tuning, im using HPtuners, is there anyone here thats good with tunes that can look at mine?

Its breaking up at higher rpms and i can figure out why. Im on low boost, because im waiting on injectors, but my IDC is only around 88-90% so they are not quite maxed yet.

Probably burning plug wires or too much gap in the plugs.

Yeah pretty sure its the plug gap. Now i have another issue of course. Put in my 60lb ls1 injectors, and now 2 of them leak out of the rail... Time to take them back off tomorrow.

How bad is the mash up on the driver's side? That is a steal for $1000. I need a deal like that.
