So far we really like it after we got the fueling issues figured out.

With the issues we're having with my FAST XFI system, the Holley is definitely shining bright in our camp.

Customer started to cut some weight out of the car over the last few days.

Says he has removed around 20lbs. so far and has his sights set on removing another 10-20 where he can before spending any money on making it lighter.

He's been asking about Optic Armor lexan for the front and rear. That should drop an easy 60-70lbs off the car. Combine that with the 20-30, maybe 40 lbs. he thinks he can take out and that'll be 100lbs. gone!

5.teens are next!

Think 100 lbs will drop it .20?

Very nice! What about the converter? Is it still an issue? Any videos of the runs?

No it won't do it from the weight alone.

Getting the boost in faster on a good track that can hold it and raising the launch RPM and launch boost combined with the weight loss will do it though.

There are some on Facebook, but I'm not sure if any have been posted to Youtube.

It now has a PTC 9.5" converter in it spec'd by Dusty Bradford that locks up super hard and is extremely efficient. It drops 1000-1100 on the shift and we're shifting it at 7200-7400rpm. Flashes to 6200-6400rpm currently. It couples so hard that it pulls the engine down from 6400 to 6250-6300 on launch.

Once we get some more power to it early and raise the launch RPM and launch boost we're hoping that RPM "sag" will go away and let the car get on its heels sooner in the run.

There are some on Facebook. The problem is with these high quality videos that most take with their cell phones is that they cannot be sent via text message and only uploaded to Facebook or Youtube.

Most people seem to upload them straight to Facebook. I do not have any videos of this car on my phone, but I believe there is one on Facebook of a 5.45@133 pass.

I got the first slow run he ever made with the turbo setup on my channel. it's still a five-second run but I'm not sure you want anybody to see it. It was before the converter change.

Growing pains are something you have to expect from any build. We're very proud of Dean's car even if it isn't running 5.0's.

I don't mind that you posted the video.

I know Dean was fresh to the turbo world and the car had a few things that had to be worked out but its came a long way from that day at Mooresville. You know all about those growing pains already Martin lol.

Anyone who thinks you can just take a brand new build and go out and set records in the first track outing has fallen and bumped their head!
