Default **Help with high heat and plug wires**

My headers aren't wrapped or coated and the heat in the engine bay is insane. It's already taking a toll on plug wires and the boots. What is the best plug wire not only for high heat but also when you snap it onto the spark plugs you have confidence that it really made a good connection? Also what's the best coating for these headers? I'm trying to keep from wrapping them, but if recommended to wrap, what wrap do you suggest. Please answer with personal experience, and thanks!

Made a simple SS heat shield and mounted it to the lower coil mount bolts. Using cheap autozone Z28 plug wires. They have the correct fittings to snap into place tightly and nice 90 boots on the plug side. They were pleanty long to run around and under the flipped manifold.

Haven't skipped a beat yet currently on 20psi. Plug wires aren't even wrapped.

I sprayed my manifolds in a black high temp coating, then wrapped them. Even wrapped the whole entire hot side as well. still crazy under hood temps, but nothing is melting yet!
