Default fairmont 3.0 (5.3, isky 3x12, s476r) 721rwhp @ 17psi pumpgas 9.68@145mph

so, unhappy with the Gbody and having the truck for a while now i unloaded them both this week, picked up a fairmont this morning, and since i havent had a bike in a while i bought a 2012 left over busa

beautiful 82 four door cream/gold 2 tone zomfg...

and then drove up to our magical junk yard and pulled a 80e for it.

i have 2 5.3 blocks here, not sure what i want to do with them honestly.
built a flat top, gen2, throw in the gen3 and just get it driving cheap, or go a little nuts with pistons, rods, and twin 76s or something really stupid lol

im gunna think about it for a little and see what i wanna do.

I stole a 80e off Craigslist for $75 delivered. I searched for diesel trans. Just needs a different tq converter and transgo kit.

Wow I'm surprised you found another one in that good of shape. It looks like the same colors as 2.0 so maybe we should call it Leroy JR.
So, Is the Busa getting a 5.3 or a 6.0?

I would like to vote twin 76's or GT45's. I guess the twin 45's would be hard to push with that 1.05 ar unless VS Racing has them with a smaller ar.

i think initially i want to get the car running driving and making pulls for like 3000 and see how it does, then do a converter, and or cam and see what kinda power and how much faster the converter makes it, and then probably put in a built motor and twins finally

i think stages would be fun again and learn even more this time.

how much power does a cam really add? how good is the stock converter etc.

i love seeing the difference in things like that

going to be stock computer and 3 bar again

i believe ill just build this gen3 5.3 i have laying here in pieces, stock build for now and throw it in with the 80e

i just got a radiator and a 80e and already ordered 80lb injectors. have a lead on a ls1 intake.

going to try to nab a 8.8 rear cheap and fast, and do ford explorer center section and moser axles, i have a corvette power steering pump actually i got from a friend for free, i might try to integrate it for fun!
