Default First boosted vehicle. Prioritize my next mods.

Goal: Run good on the mexico streets. The track is too far away. Spend money in the most benefical places first, as my budget is low and money comes in slowly.

Setup:

2003 GMC Sierra rcsb (4400lbs with me in it)
2000 lq4/4l80e swap
Comp 222/230 113+1 .581/.590
PAC 1218s/pushrods/timing chain
Log manifold front mount 69mm/77mm turbo
31x12x3 air to air intercooler
60mm gate with a mbc
Full 3 inch exhaust out the back with a Gibson muffler
Detroit true trac w/ 4.11s
Walbro 400, hotwire, 80lb dekas

If its not on that list, then its stock or I don't have it. Example: stock converter, clutch fan, Bov, radials, etc...

I forgot to add, I do feel like this thing does decent on the street currently. Running about 7.5psi. The turbo lag/no converter help get my street tires planted on a launch. Although, I can only wish for so much out of street tires.

Edit: I guess we could add an electric boost controller to that list.

Your sig covers it pretty well.

Best bang for your buck, converter and sticky tires.

Eventually 76mm turbo e85 and more boost.

I say work on the suspension. It will make the truck safer in the long run, then worry about making it faster. That being said this has been said many times, the converter is the most important part of a auto/turbo car build.

Converter will fix the lag issue, and really wake the truck up.

Problem with waking it up is you are about to open up pandora's box though, because as soon as it wakes up you will have traction issues, and need another 1000.00 dollars to get it to hook up.

Sticky tires are great but they suck in bad weather, drag radials, slicks whatever, definitely been rained out at the track several times out here in the south and limped my car home at 45 mph or slower playing tokyo drift down the road. For those that haven't had this privilege there is not worse feeling than a car constantly trying to put you into a tree or ditch.
