4 Bolt Build!!
5.3 block 383cu.in
3.905" bore
4" stroke
317 heads
ARP head and main studs
LS9 gaskets
ls1 intake and throttle body
th400
spec'd cam
s480 96mm/1.32
truck manifolds
divided 2 1/4" crossover
e85
Megasquirt with MS3X board.
Looking for tips to make this thing last under boost and how to keep the heads sealed. Don't really want to mess with o-ring block. Its a semi budget build. looking to make as much power as I can and keep it together. Would it create less cylinder pressure and be better for sealing if I turn say 7000-8000rpm? Is this reliable with my setup. I pushed my stock londblock LS1 to 6900 on the bottle without any issues. the motor will only be on 8-10psi 75% of the time. Would hope for around 1000whp around 20psi. Is this doable?
