Default *My Build - Huron Speed l Tick Cam l 5.3 l 75mm l E85 l 700hp *

99% done. I will post the build pics later on. Quick Run Down of car

2002 Camaro SS
'06 LM7 5.3, ARP rod bolts and head studs
LS6 TB and Intake
Tick Performance LS3/L99 stage 1 turbo cam (226/235 .605/.610 114+3)
Huron Speed Single kit
Turbonetics Billet 75/75
Turbo Smart Hyper-gate 45mm
Lucas 120lb Injectors
2x 340 pumps with BAP
Monster Level 3 Clutch
RPM Level 4 T-56
Moser 9" with 3.25 gears

Final numbers are 727hp / 635tq on 16 psi and max of 17* timing. This is on a Mustang dynoo as well:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZzfC...ature=youtu.be

All and all I am very pleased with the car. I haven't even driven yet as I'm picking it up tomorrow after the odds and ends are completed. Local shop to me did all the work and they were impressed with the Huron Speed kit, as well as the power that the car ended up making.

We did run into a problem with the WG location on the Huron Speed hotside. Last week the car was on the dyno running gate pressure(7 psi spring). The gate opened at 7-8 psi right at 3000rpm but the car had some very bad boost creep. By 5800rpms we were seeing 12 psi. The Shop cut off the WG feed tube and welded up a pipe off of each of the hot side "up" pipes and "y" them together feeding the WG. This worked perfectly and the boost is now flat at any desired boost level. (I will post pics of this later). Im not sure why this was needed but it could be my combo or the larger 75mm turbine, im not sure but it is fixed now.

Gate pressure(7.5 psi) - 55xhp
12 psi - 66xhp

The car is very consistent and I am very pleased. I cant wait to get out and drive it now. I'll post pics later on.

Awesome numbers man! Very nice setup, Im looking at doing something very similar in my GTO. What RPM are you seeing full boost at? Im still debating between the 7875 Tnetics and a BW T4 S375. Also what rpm are you revving it to?

Thanks! I really impressed with the numbers as well, being a mustang dyno and all. The turbo is spooled up at 3400rpm

Rev'd to 6500 on all the pulls.

I also was debating a BW but they are just physically so large. My radiator is in the stock location but the factory fans are gone, and replaced with pushers.

Very nice numbers I my self am using the same kit would you mind posting some pics how they ran the wast gate I would hate to run into the same issue ! What percentage where your injectors ? My set up is forged pistons rods iron block using the off the shelf tick stage 2 cam turbo cam with 243 prc heads 660 springs still need some parts.
Turbo and oil lines and a oil pan and injectors but I'm using the same wast gate and blow off valve ! Thanks for posting I have been waiting for a Huron build on here !

Thanks. I will get the pics up later on when I pick up the car today. The injectors were at 80-85% duty cycle. I think they still have a little left, Im only running 40psi base fuel pressure.

What cubic inch motor and turbo do you plan on running?

Nice results. Looking forward to some pics.

Your injectors have wayyyy more left in them if you turn the base pressure up. You've got dual 340s and those will support over 1000hp on E85. My dual 255s maxed out my 80lb injectors with a 58psi base at 16lbs of boost.

I hope Jon with Huron Speed will chime in about this. This is the first I've heard of this issue with a Huron kit, so it's a tiny bit concerning. Thanks for letting us know... congrats on the excellent numbers. Makes me excited to find out how mine will do. Keep us informed with any track times that you may end up getting. Good luck with everything!

Same here, this is the second time I read something like creep issues, and first with the huron kit. Which kit was it? Will you be posting said pics?

Thanks! The car is an animal. well to me it is, coming from a h/c/I car lol. The 3.25 are great so far. keeps the rpm low when cruising and in boost im shifting just as fast as the 4.10s when I was N/A

Thank you. I was praying for 700 with it being on a mustang dyno, so im very happy with the power. Feels soooo good lol

Single non a/c. pics coming soon

Car is so fun to drive. Loves to drink the E85 though lol. Im having an alternator issue. Once it goes hot it isn't putting out the voltage like it should. We had the back cover off at first and we were killing the battery. Had to modify the cover a little so It would fit. On the gauge in the car its dropping to 11-12 volts after it gets hot. could just be a tired alternator, its prolly original.

I just got the car back home after some testing on the stret so ill get up the hotside pics now. Then im going back out so the other pics can wait!

The issue with some creep seems to be a compound of a couple changes. The larger turbine units coupled with the adapter flange to run the 44mm gate seems to put the gate a little too far from the turbo to benefit from the larger gate (exhaust hits the turbo before the gate) Instead of running the adapter flange, I would rather see the flange cut off the adapter flange and welded on in place of the 38mm gate flange if you want to run the larger gate. These results don't seem common, and from the creep we have had few experience, it is nothing drastic either!

Steve, great numbers, now go enjoy it!

Thanks!! A local shop installed the kit and they were very impressed with the Huron Speed Kit. Shop thinks that the smaller turbine guys prolly don't see that creep because they are opening the gate with the back pressure of such a small wheel. Either way not having back pressure is a good thing so no complaints on my end!

looks like rain this weekend so ill get all the pics up later sorry guys

The quality is upstanding I have my ac hotside in my mantle. I admire the shinnyness of the stainless steel I'm still can't decide what engine to go with (TSP370 or aes390). Waiting for more results from other people that bought this kit. So far I've got the AC kit with a tnetics 7875 1.15 ar. I won't order the turbo k yet , because I fear ill just end up bolting it up on my stock engine lol especially afyer watching all those you tube vids.

The first pic is the hotside from Huron Speed, with the extension piece bolted on for the bigger gate.

The second pic is what was made.

The way the hotside was modified completely controls my boost now.
