Default Added meth to comp ct5 88/9488,870whp.DYNO GRAPH AND LOGS ADDED.

Did a very close comparison today on the dyno. Same exact setup, forged 9:1 370,vig 3600 locked,9inch,stock ported 241 heads stock intake tb.

Before at 19.5psi and a race gas pump mix and 18 degrees timing it made. 835whp.

All i did was run straight pump 93 and a dual nozzle alky control kit. Tuned for 10.5 afr and actually lowered the timing to 16.

Made 867whp and 888ftlbs.

I didn't try adding timing Back up to 18 or beyond because my goal was to just make the same power with out race gas.

I made all fuel adjustements in pe leaving ve alone, it did not knock once in about 6 pulls.

Alex

Graph coming soon

I've been running the meth over race gas for years now for these exact same reasons. Great job man! Can you tell me what size nozzles you were running and where you placed them? I'm running a single m14 right now and am considering adding a second nozzle to my kit.

That is interesting. Strait meth or a water/meth mix?

Straight meth coming in at 5ish psi. Iat would start at 82 and would drop to 68 with meth. a dyno pull without it would be in the low 100s

I too love the benefits of running meth injection. The car always feels much more responsive. I have mine progressively adding from around 2-3psi.

ya its good stuff. Im sure I could have gone a lot higher in boost or timing. You always want more, lol. I'm probably at the limits of running stock heads and not lifting them.

Turn it up. Lean it out a bit and add timing. Don't worry about race gas. I've been racing mine all year over 1000rwhp on 93 and dual meth.

Im sure i could be well into the 900whp area. Im just worried about other things like the trans, the stock heads lifting. I feel like im at a comfortable level. Il do some more tuning on the track when I get some good real world logging.

Here is the dyno graph of the 6 pulls on the dyno. This ranged from 10psi and 14 degrees timing to the final which was 19.5 psi and 16 degrees timing.

I dont know why it says the power starts to drop off at like 5k rpm. I had this exact setup on a different dyno jet about 1000 miles ago just without meth and with race fuel and it starting to drop at 6k rpm. It sure didnt feel like it was loosing anything past 5k rpm.

Here are the last 2 dyno run hptuner logs. It doesnt drop in boost or injector duty. Could there be a problem with the dyno or is the car really only making power till 5k now for some reason?

That graph looks pretty bad. Either spark blow out or valve float. Try leaning it out.

They are tr8 plugs at .28. Dual patriot extremes with 3k miles. I guess it could be to rich but 10.5 on meth isn't that rich

10.5 is pretty rich on a 14.7 stoich scale wideband. .28 is a huge gap too

The first run was with no meth and the same tune that pulled to 6200 like 1000 miles ago. it was about 11.1 11.3 afr and it looks just as bad.

what's crazy is the car feels and sounds great at wot and high rpm. According to this horrible graph i should be hearing and experiencing all sorts of bad things
