Default Map sensor question.

I have a 1998 TA with a Procharger D1sc with a fast 90mm intake on an LS1. I was wonder if anyone is having any problems with the map sensor showing signs of some boost escaping from around the rubber seal around the map sensor where it sits inside the hole in the manifold? I'am pushing about 6-8 lbs of boost. I noticed some residue (oil like substance) around the outside edge of the rubber seal. I removed the sensor and inspected the rubber seal but it showed no signs of wear and was intact. I used a little bit of mechanics wire to firmly hold it in place just for good measure, but was wondering if this is normal for boosted applications. Also due to the style of the seal, I wonder if using the wire to keep it tight in the hole was bypassing the seal?

Is the seal big enough for the hole? I have had to use extra o-rings on the nipple seals to get them to seal up.

Clean the intake and seal with brake cleaner then silicone the inner and outer parts of the grommet end of problem.
