Default pics of lq4 in the car and hot side.

thought id post a few pics of the 6.0 in my nova the hot side I built on the stand worked very nice . didn't have to change it at all just had to finish the last bend to lower the turbo and fit it under the hood. I also turned the turbo to get a better shot for an air filter and it also aims the downpipe flange to eliminate a bend. it all need to come off to paint it and finish welding a couple spots but it looks better than I had hoped.

Nice and you should have no problem exceeding your goals. The only place you could do better is the tranny but you could always do that later. Good luck and keep us updated.

yes it will be pumpgas to start I might go e85 later it is about 20 miles from me. and I don't want to start off with anything else that I haven't messed with before. trans might get replaced by spring if the money don't run low with the engine build. lol.thanks

What size turbine and ar on that tc turbo? I think that turbo should get you in the tens but I think that will really limit you. Back pressure will be really high and I think it will max out around 600-650whp

it has the f1-68 turbine with a .96 housing but I want to get it running then look for a bigger housing I think they make several up to a 1.52 ar. this is my first turbo ls build so im starting out mild and working up . the car is only getting a 6 pt bar so 10 flat or 135 mph is all im looking for .

Good looking work!! You might want to add a flex coupling in the crossover.

if you look close there is a slip joint right in front of the balancer so I can use a 2.5 band clamp and let it move around a little. plus it is nice to remove one side at a time if I want to. thanks.

Yeah I would definitely put the largest ar housing on it. Should spool quick and be a lot of fun

I want the power but that is not the total reason behind the build. what I want is a much better driving car than my current 11 sec solid lifter 406 and a second faster don't hurt my feelings to much.

not really I did spend some time cleaning it up with the biscuit and a hand grinder but it was just warm. then when I welded it I didn't just weld it in one pass I kind of spot welded it and moved around and didn't let the heat get to hot in one spot. welded up very nice better than I though it whould. much better castings than the old stuff.
