71 Nova single turbo, am I on the right track?
Hey guys, I need some reassurance on my selection of parts. I'm using a stock 5.3 with a Turbonetics 76mm turbo with .96 A/R ratio thinking of running 7-10 pounds of boost. From my research I'm going to use a 50mm wastegate and bov, 60 lb/hr DeatschWerks Fuel Injectors.
Anything wrong with my selection of parts? Do I need a boost reference fuel Regulator? Should I replace the valve spring with the ls6 springs?

I think you should change the valve springs and push rods regardless just to be ready for boost .
I have seen guys run without a boost reference fpr but they needed bigger injectors . the fuel pressure stays set so the injectors have to ad the extra fuel so 80# might be a better match. im sure someone with first hand experience will chime in. good luck on the build. im turboing a nova /lq4 myself.

60 lb injectors can do like 700whp i think so as long as that is in your goal you are ok.
valveprings i would say are good to do, as i have blown open stock springs around 8-10psi
if they are higher mileage they are weaker also.
Pac1218 springs are only 140 dollars and procomp are only 50 dollars
stock pushrods, rockers, keepers etc are fine

As a point of reference I am running SD 60lb injectors with the pressure pulled back to 43psi on a boost referenced regulator. 6.0L LS2 at 7psi of boost my injector duty cycle is under 60%. I did hit 10psi of boostthe car stayed well in the 10's AFR but I wasn't logging duty cycle when my wastegate fitting came loose. I'm sure it was fine. Also only running a 44mm wastegate that held boost all the way down to 3psi.
