Default p600b Purcahse for my 96 ws6 lt1 Should I do it? Need help

Hello everyone I am debating on buying a p600b kit that has come for sale in my area they are asking $1000 for it intercooler everything and tubing its coming off a lt1 95 camaro. I have never ran boost before so I am wary on how hard it will be to install or if I am getting a good deal. It doesnt come with injectors or fuel regualtor but it comes with everything else he sayas and I asked multiple questions about the condition and he sayas its good and the unit is good. I know the p600b is the older version but I am running it on a stock lt1 internal motor so I know I will see about 6psi which I am happy with, My car has 102k on it auto tranny 3:73 gears no egr no evap no air pump mid length headers to full three 3 inch magnaflow catless y pipe. So is it worth it? Is it hard to instal? Please give me your opinons you all know more then me in this area. I dont want to destroy my motor or spend 1k and get ripped cause its just not worth it.

It would be fun until the first time you detonate and need new pistons. I ran a p600b until I blew up the ringlands on 3 pistons on a cold night... Upgraded to a d1 and forged pistons.

7 lbs..

To answer some more questions you had.. If you could get the entire kit for $750, it might be worth it.. That unit is very old. I don't think they've made the p600b in quite a few years.

Its not particularly difficult to install. Just have to take your time.
