Default New DD, 2009 G8 Twin Turbo, Dyno results

Just figured i'd post this. I can't claim that I built this as I have much of my other cars, but it's my daily driver and thought it should make an appearance on this forum. Car drives great, quiet, comfy, all creature comforts. Hopefully i'll get some track numbers later this month before it's too late to race

It's a 2009 G8 GT with the following mods:

TURBO SET UP
Twin precision 6465mm polished billet wheel turbos
Twin Tial 38mm waste gates
Tial 50mm blow off valve
Turbowerks Exa-Pump
Full dual 3” stainless exhaust with V bands
Eboost2 boost controller with cubby mount
Dual in single out front mount intercooler
2” charge pipes from each turbo, 3” charge pipe from intercooler to engine.
All pipes are stainless.

ENGINE
Forged LS3 9.5:1 CR
Comp cam 227/227 .639/.639 116+0 LSA
LS9 head gaskets with ARP head Studs
LS7 Lifters
LS2 Lifter Trays
Comp valve springs and push rods
Melling oil pump, new style timing chain tensioner
Power bond UDP
160deg stat
URP Catch can

FUEL SYSTEM
Stock in-tank pump to a 2 gallon surge tank
Triple 392 Walbro pumps staged.
-10 feel line to front of car
-6 return line
Fuel lab regulator
Aeromotive rails
127lb FIC injectors
AIS alcohol injection system

TRANSMISSION/DRIVETRAIN
CircleD built 6l80e
CircleD pro III 245mm triple disk converter, stated 3200rpm stall speed
B&M cooler
3.27 Camaro rear end with Wavetrac differential
G-force 750+hp Racing Axles
BMR Full Racing Bushings

I just had it dynoed at Speed Inc. yesterday and it put down respectable numbers. Unfortunately, the meth was not functioning and timing was pulled down at 14lbs. Here are the dyno numbers, all on 93 octane, no meth through full exhaust/mufflers:

4 lbs - 510.56 rwhp / 474.60 ft lb
7.5 lbs - 592.35 rwhp / 543.38 ft lb
11.5 lbs - 683.22 rwhp / 635.43 ft lb
14 lbs - 729.12 rwhp / 678.12 ft lb

And, here are some pics

I always wondered what happened to Jim's(Parish) old G8.

Looks to have a bunch of upgrades since we last saw it.

You will have a lot of fun with that car.

Yea, Parish's old car. It has been around a bit, Virginia, then off to San Diego, then I had it shipped back to Chicagoland area

I may surprise a car or two on the road with it lol and upgrade some things as i see fit.

I keep going back and forth with them honestly. They are Camaro ZL1 replica's lol, but I don't know. Time will tell I suppose.

Nice setup. Any pics of the manifolds etc ?

Although not sure I'd trust those pneumatic push on fittings for the wastegate. They're handy to use, but I'm sure they could get hot enough to melt them

Here is a shot of the turbo off the manifold.

And here is a bunch more, shots of the build.

Second page at the bottom has a lot of the turbo mounting.

I am kind of surprised all of this is still on Jim's server.

Thanks Atomic for the pics link. Just stock manifolds that have been ceramic coated. I am interested in the fittings too and will continue to watch them. I've been considering wrapping them with some heat protective material and see if that may help. They are very convenient and clean though and I put them on because the other rubber line setup wasn't doing it for me

I am, I live in NW IN, but work downtown Chi. I'm sure the car will see some drive time into the city for work at one time or another

Thanks for the comments guys. Wish I could take more credit for the build, but i'll make my changes. Looking forward to seeing how this thing handles snow, may need snow tires. Wish the 16" Camaro rims with my newer snow tires would fit!!

Yea, me too. They were definitely instrumental in me being confident enough to purchase this sight unseen. I sent a friend in San Diego to check it out and relied on his word. I am happy though and feel I made the right decision.

I can see me buying one of those as me next vehicle. I like the blacked out lights. Nice touch. I like the rims even if they are chrome. Tomorrow when i look at the car i may not. You could try plasti-dipping them.

Like the nice slick appearance on the outside. Never would guess 700+rwhp was in there. Yeah get that meth spraying good and turn that boost up to 20 psi lol.

What is that sensor deal for on the drive shaft?

I don't know if it is still hooked up, but that gave the boost controller a driveshaft speed, so we could control boost by MPH.

If I remember right we used an LS crank sensor.
