Help me pick at turbo!!!
Goal is 1000rwhp but with so many choices for turbos I can't make up my mind! Who has cold hard facts?
The plan was to start with a fully forged 370 iron block, 9:1 compression, p&p 317's, boost friendly cam and 93 octane. Was thinking s480 with billet wheel, 1.10 a/r and t6 divided flange. This will be run through my tranzilla and moser 9". The car currently has a stock 347 with a cam and d1sc. It makes 563rwhp but It's time to step up to the majors...with out spending a fortune lol so
My question is what needs to be tweaked, I want to stay smaller cubes for rev-ability and heat. The heads I got for cheap but I know a thicker decked head is more desirable. My biggest question is finding a turbo that spools decently quick but doesn't sacrifice to much at the top end. Any help, tips and advice would be appreciated. this I mostly a freeway pull car with some track time , not a dd! Also a f1a isn't out of the question but it seems it would be harder to hit that 1000 mark
