Default Hot side tubing crossover behind and underneath?

I was looking into doing the hot side tubing crossover for a turbo behind the motor/underneath the converter and coming back up front on the other side. Has anyone done this cleanly? Can you point me in the direction of some pictures?
I'll be running an LQ4 with a 4L80E in a 72 Nova probably with truck or f-body manifolds.

This was done on the TTi street kits for F-Body cars, as well as the PTK and ebay turbo kits. This is also standard practice on Grand National and T type Buicks.

I ran a setup where the passenger side crossed over behind the trans and back forward towards the drivers side where it merged.

Here's some unsolicited advise...Calculate the crossover piping size needed. A situation like this where the crossover is too large can cause some lag or response issues. I'm not saying that it will be severe, but you just want the best for your setup.

Example, 2.5 vs. 2.25 vs. 2 inch cross over piping.

Do your math. Good luck.

We did this on my setup. Stock LQ4 manifolds, driver's in OEM position with vband, crossover down under and up on pass side merging, then into T6. Pics in link below.

I don't know about "clean"... but it works just fine. Just don't go overboard with the hotside piping like I did. 2.5" will support 2400hp. 2" 1000hp. So unless you plan to make over 1000 stick with 2".

I've ran it like that many times . Works great and clean looking . Stock48's nova is like that. And the infamous Parish on his truck and many others.

I dont see the reason to do it that way on your Nova. Run it around the front like usual.

I dont see why either unless you really do not have the room. In my opinion i would rather keep the hot pipes away from any oil and i really would not like those right near the transmission like that. But if thats the only way you have the room then go for it.

Leaving the manifold facing backwards as they were meant to be allows for the use of all the factory ign components and mounting locations and makes for nice easy plug access. I like the idea of going behind the motor better.

X2 soooo much cleaner, especially on smaller engine bays. If its too hot wrap it and heat issue fixed. We always try to route this way first on most cars we do.

The reason why i'm doing it on my nova is because I built a log style manifold a few years ago for my corvette and I figured I would use it instead of building another kit . And I like the way it looks.
