Default Turbo Rebuild

So I'm tearing down the car for some clean-up work, and was wondering if I should go ahead and get the turbo rebuilt/cleaned-up while it is off the car? I have had no issues with smoking/oiling etc., just curious if this is typical maintenance even if issues aren't seen.

If the turbine wheel looks dry, no signs of oil in the compressor housing and most importantly, no excessive shaft play... then I would leave it alone.
