Maybe I'm looking at it wrong. What is the deal with the down pipe having to transition down and then right back up?

The outlet on the turbo is a 3" V-Band.

if you run into tight spaces with that 4" pipe a 3.5" would serve you just as well and weigh/cost less.

I wish I'd known that before I bought all this junk!

I'll keep that in mind. I should be OK once it gets unde the water pump. I plan on transitioning the 4" into my 3" duals that are already on the car, and possibly putting a cutout in there as well. Though, I'm not sure if I would see any gains? (Other than noise)

KILLER CAR!!

Pretty much my dream build for a killer street car.. I love everything about it.

My only recommendation for you is put a power glide in it now.... It will be way faster and not break near as much stuff..

As light as that car is, with 800-900 rwhp thru a glide, it would run 8.50s... Still be very streetable.

Sub'd.

At your power you don't need the cutout, dual 3" will flow way more than enough.

3" or 3.5" was my suggestion. My car seemed to do ok with a 3".

I WILL need some 4" pipe for the new setup, but not sure where the turbo will be placed.

thats what happening with ls1tech.

everybody running dual 4" bullhorns out the front bumper of their daily driver SMH.

in that car you can go 7's with a single 3.5" exhaust.

Car has taken a back seat to finishing my garage. Hope to have HEAT in the next week.

Made a slight bit of progress on the car though. Built a wooden fixture to mount the turbo where I want it. Now all I have to determine is height. Cut a hole in the OSB, bolts from the bottom up, two nuts on top of OSB (to clear compressor housing), then the transition and turbo are set on and bolted down.

This will allow me to take the turbo off and out of the way to build a majority of the hot side

Get to work on that lower radiator support. I'm curious what you are going to do. I cut my upper out last week, just waiting on the motor to get back so I can start mocking everything up.

I'm sure it will make an appearance.

I've been out of the country / state for the last 3 weeks. Hopefully I'll get back to it this weekend, after my garage is heated!
