Built the new motor mounts this weekend. This is a kit I bought from Randy Ellis Design. Link --------> http://randyellisdesign.com/?wpsc-pr...it-duplicate-2

Drivers side of the K member is hanging so they look a little uneven.

You can see how this really opens up the passenger's side for a downpipe.

Are you running frame connectors and a mid engine plate? Or those two engine mounts the only two? I'm building a 1978 280z also. Maybe we can share some pics. I just started my build last week. Stripped the Carr down and sone frame rails rear four link with anti roll bar and wish bone locator. Mini tubs with 325/50/15 MT drag radial. Shoot me a private message we can talk and swap ideas. Your car is looking nice

I never liked the clunky JCI mounts. Too big and overpriced.

Do the motor mount bushings come out for welding or you have to weld to them with bushing in the mount??
Nice work. I will start my 280 z build thread soon

love this build and the Z's. Perfect combo for an LSx especially LSx build. Wish I could find one locally that wasnt rusted or beat to **** but that doesnt happen often in the NE. Subed

They're just a standard 2 piece poly bushing with a sleeve. So yes, they come apart.

Just thought I'd post up that the Z got a feature on Dragzine!

http://www.dragzine.com/features/car...d-lsx-swapped/

Its mostly correct, only minor details are off - very cool IMO.

Wanted to give a HUGE shout out to Rick @ Howe Racing. He was excellent to work with in the design of my radiator that I just ordered. I've seen their quality, and can vouch for their service. Great company.
