Default lq4 long rear crank snout? wtf

so guys i just got a 6.0 for my V
the other day i noticed that the clutch mounting flange is much longer then any ls i have seen before.

is there any thing i can do to get my t56 on to this new motor?
i have been tossing the idea of going to a 4l80e also but im not sure what id need to do to go this route either. is there a year range that i can use for the 80e?

id like to try and avoid having to replace the crank if at all possible.

thanks guy

Any 4l80 will work with your motor. Since it has long crank snout you just need a standard 6.0l flexplate to use with a stock 4l80 converter or an aftermarket unit with standard pad height. GM changed the design later on and used a crank spacer instead of the longer crank due to production costs. Try to find '93 + unit as GM updated the wiring harness in the 80e'. But its easy to convert the older style wiring to the updated design.

As for the T56 it won't work unless you:
1 Swap cranks
2 Use an lt1 T56
3 Swap input shafts on the T56
