Why not face the turbo forward for a 275 build? Also, really nice welding skills man!

We'll when we started all the fab the plan for the car was ultra but also like to drive the car on the street so didnt want to have to figure something out for that. All the welds were done by a buddy I just tacked it all. Thanks

We'll today went pretty good got all the piping bolted up along with the radiator and intercooler so mostly all that is left is a few hose"s and then all the wiring.

Nice work! You did alot of things right with your fab work and front end modification! Should make all the difference.

Thanks. I'm trying to do stuff right the first time instead of constantly having something to fix or upgrade.

Might need to buy a alt setup from you. I have a motor plate and truck manifold setup.

Kit looks nice. What 275 class do you plan to run?

The bracket was pretty simple once i figured it out. The top bolt I just drilled and tapped the hole in the motor plate and the bottom bracket has a slot in it so it can pivot and i just used a 1/4" plate of aluminum and then just spaced the alternator out till it was flush with the crank pulley. But if you have v-bands on your truck manifolds the aei kit will work my friends has it on his car.

Thanks. If I end up running a class it will be the local ultra street but I will probly just grudge race it this year while I work out the bugs

Can you get pics of your friends car? Is the alt on the passenger side also? I dont have the AEI motor plate and im struggling to find a alt bracket that I think will work down low.

Ahh ok reason I asked is because the billet 80 is not legal in ultra. Good thing is you can swap it out easily

Does the AEI use the hole on the bottom passenger side like your plate and mine has? Pics on the AEI site looks like it hugs the block and id have to lose it?

No the aei brackets bolt to two bolt holes just below the number two cylinder at the top of the block and the lower bolts to the oil pan/timing cover I think but If I were you, I would just notch the lower passenger side of your motor plate and mount your alternator to it and just space it out how ever much you need
