Decent sized turbo is all relative.

Since 80 or twin what? Since 80 would be better than twin 48mm turbos, but worse than twin 76s.

Not a single person on this forum can give you a straight answer without knowing how much power you want to make.. etc. You asked probably two of the most broad questions anyone could have ever asked for.

On3. I have one of their 76mm turbos as well. You won't be making 900-1000 with it though since the turbine is too small. A good single for your goals is a single S475. They can be had for $650 and are made by Borg warner which makes probably the most reliable turbos out there. One of these will put you within your goals at the flywheel. I've seen this turbo get people into the 8s in the quarter mile so its a beast of a turbo for the price.
