Originally I was planning on running the gate back into the down pipe under the car before dumpin the down pipe out the passenger side front bumper. Well with the cold pipes in there it's just not not gonna happen with out some crazy bends. So instead of spend a bunch of time making it work I'm just going to have the vent to atmosphere instead.

Down pipe done.
Debating on making some bend to connect the waste gate back into the down pipe but now I'm thinking just dumping it. What's everyone think about just dumping the gate on a car with fender exit down pipe?

Builder was determined to get the gate plumbed back into the down pipe because he knew that's what I originally wanted done.

Ya. Builder swears I won't have any issues but the car is back in my garage so I'm going to see if I can fix the gate placement. He does a lot of smaller displacement turbo stuff and I guess they run a lot higher drive pressure so it's not as critical? (At least that's what I got out of some reading).
This is my first turbo build so that's why I made this build thread. Find my mistakes before it's to late! I'm going to take a bunch of pics from under the car and see what u guys thing might be best. Besides buying another gate and running two it's pretty cramped in there with trying to account for all the ac stuff.

Well here it is. Give me your thoughts/suggestions! Still a lot todo before I'm ready to make some noise.
Obviously I would like to make the easiest yet most effective way to correct the gate.
Thoughts?
Reminder-trying to build the turbo kit one time and just run real low boost until my lq4/4l80e is built.

Tore down for cleaning, painting and heat wrapping.
Started mounting the box for my battery relocation. Could of probably made it fit all the way in the spare tire well but it wouldn't of been very easy to access so decided this way would be next best.

Ok so I have some questions on wiring for both battery relocation and fuel pumps. Goal is to run all my wires once so I don't have it rip the interior apart again.
Battery
1/0 from battery to switch
1/0 from other side of switch to starter
4gauge from starter to fuse box
4gauge from alternator to battery
All new grounds from block to frame and battery to frame
For the fuel pump I was thinking a harness like this

Questions
Since my battery is in the back can I run the power for my pumps to the opposite side of my cut off switch in the rear? (Saves me from running 2 10gauge wires all the way up front) or is that a bad idea?
I plan on using a Hobbs switch to activate the second pump. Plan to mount that up front so what gauge wire should I run from the Hobbs switch back to the relays? (relays will be mounted in the spare tire well).

Just triple checking my wiring here.
Not sure what gauge wire to use for the relay ground on the Hobbs swift since it will be mounted up front.
On another note we are having a new house built so that's going to slow the car down even more until we at least sell our current house and get moved out.

I was able to pull out the interior and start on the battery relocation. After a ton of research it's coming together nicely. All wires are loomed and secured through the interior. Still waiting for my fuse holder and other battery terminal to show up!
Switch is mounted and seems to work well. I still have to cut down the shut of rod.
