Default Installed 2step now have a question

So today I installed my MSD 2step I have a FTI 4000 stall converter. So I stalled it to 3300rpm and it started to spool the turbo and made right bout 5#s of boost I immediately let off of the throttle and saw my A/F ratio through my wide band running at 16's to 17's is that normal? With turbo cars? I do not have the equipment to log what's going on but hopefully you pros can tell me if it's a bad idea to use it. Thanks!

Mine does some weird **** too when I would let off the throttle. Others will chime in but I would think as long as the afr is what you want while on the 2 step is what is important. I ran mine a little lean on the 2 step and then would drop the timing and throw tons of fuel at it when I let off. This would really spool them up from 5-15psi like it was nothing.

I understand each set up is different but what would be an ideal A/F ratio when the 2step is activated? Again I don't have the equipment to log the DATA.
