Default lm7 hot tank questions

So I bought an lm7 about a month ago. Has about ~150, 000 it. I took the heads amd stuff off to see how dirty this beast was. I plan on getting it hot tanked. I'm guessing I should just take it to the shop with the heads off? Should I get a valve job? Should I have it bored to a 5.7?

Yes take it without the heads my shop tested my heads to see if they need a valve job, they did idk how many miles the engine had, and I think hot tanking the engine will require new cam bearings also.

Thanks. I plan on getting new bearings anyways, so I guess I'll see what the shop tells me.

Put your heads back on and run it.

I dont agree. If your not going to run the engine "as is" and plan on aftermarket parts, bore the engine. Larger bore pistons are cheaper and there is no reason to leave that power (even though small) on the table. If you don't plan on forging out the motor and doing a full build, stick with OEM parts and check them all yourself. As said above I'm sure you could get away with a quick at home rebuild.

For now, I just plan on putting on a ls6 intake and head gasket to get it running.

Then, once I move back home and get everything settled, I'm going turbo and pushing for 700whp. Forged internals. I'd rather just get the basic swap stuff taken care of to make sure it runs fine in the car.
