Default Racetronix/Standard Motor Parts 160lb Low Z Injector

Posted this in the fueling section moving here hoping for a response...

Racetronix 160lb Low Z injectors made in USA by Standard Motor Parts?
Anyone running them? How are they performing? How tough are they to tune? Any issues? Thinking of giving them a try VS twice the money for a set of billet atomizers any input would be nice.

In for info as well. Just over $500 not bad at all. In the market for some 160's. If these are better to tune than the Bosch that has the snotty area down low that would be great.

They are not repurposed CNG injectors, they are designed as a gas injector from what research I have done they look like the best deal going. FWIW these are the same injector Accel sells and I would bet the new Holley 160lb injector is this as well. Racetronix sells them in flow matched sets as well for about 50.00 more than the ea. price.

Correct. The Bosch 160s were a CNG injector with a 6 ohm coil. They never worked properly with peak/hold low-z drivers. The SMP 160s are a true low-z 2 ohm injector with excellent response and pressure capabilities.

Bumping this for more details. Everyone mentions the Bosch low-z injectors being a pain to tune at idle. Are these Racetronix 160's any better for that?

From my understanding, yes. Almost ordered a set then found a deal on some Precision Turbo 160's.
