Thanks gnx7.

I currently have 3.73 gears in the 12 bolt (3.31 or 3.42 in the future) and the condenser is part of Vintage Air's normal chevelle kit. I just modified the brackets some to move the condenser closer to the radiator, it fits into radiator support now. a/c fittings will be tough with the intercooler tubing be so close but I'll deal with that problem when I get there.

That is a beautiful blue for that chevelle, it looks amazing! I really like the look of the newer style SS badges too and the carbon fiber insert is nice. Sub'd to see more awesome pics of this build.

I would look into the bracket that CBR makes that moves the power steering pump in to allow more clearance

That's what I ended up doing, CBR sold me just a P/S bracket without their tensioner. It worked out great !

The car is back apart so I have room to build my coil relocation brackets.

The color choice was one of the hardest things to decide on, it took me 6 weeks to commit to that color. But I couldn't be happier with it, it really pops in the sun!

I'm still making progress on her, started wiring the new style fuse box yesterday. I'll be picking up my Holley Dominator EFI this saturday, who knows how long that will take me to wire. Hopefully not too long, I foresee the first test drive with no glass or interior LOL

Just need to order the Denny's 1350 driveshaft and the Covan Dash still

I decided on a Covan carbon 6 hole panel with autometer carbon guages.

love that your not making this a dedicated drag car. What manifolds did you use? Ive been trying to find a set that will work in my narrow engine bay. Mind taking a few measurements?

Nice! I looked at the carbon fiber one for my chevelle too, just have other things to purchase that are more of a necessity right now.

Definitely post up some pics once you get it and the guages installed.

Wow, how did I miss this build? Amazing story and amazing car. Not too happy with your color choice though..... looks almost exactly like the color I picked.

I have the same hood and intake combo. Does your hood close? Mine looks like it will hit right where the Holley insignia is but I haven't bolted it on the car yet. Going to try dropping the engine down in the chassis a little more and see if it will clear.

OSCS, I went with a set of up and forward headers from racinginnovationandsupply.com , Ihave a set of manifolds from a G8 gt that are a great choice but i don't think they would fit your Z.

Hey Ratical, the hood is a steel 2" cowl that has the factory style bracing under it. I notched the bracing for the intake before the car went to paint. I might have a photo of the underside of the hood, I'll check and post it up if you really want to see it. LMK. Oh and the paint color is Toyota speedway blue.

Yeah im still on the hunt for a set of "out of the box" SS manifolds that will work in my engine bay. The problem I have is from the face of the head to the widest point of the manifolds can be no greater than 7"

That sounds like the hood I have also. Mine was from Goodmark. If you don't mind posting it that would be cool. How much clearance would you say you have to the hood now?
My color is 2010 Honda Accord blue. I forgot the actaul name of it. Looks a little darker than yours I think.

Out of curiosity, where did you find the 61mm On3 turbos? I've been looking into twin 70s for a 5.3 build, but I'd like to find some 61s. I'd like to see a spec sheet on them, do they use the same turbine as the 70's?
