Not much to update on. Will start installing the suspension parts later this month.

I did get the Eboost2 back from Turbosmart. I was having issues with my head unit during tuning. I sent it back to Turbosmart for them to check it out under warranty. I ended up getting a complete new Eboost2. It will be nice to have some spare parts laying around, especially an extra solenoid.

Really looking forward to Spring and some nice weather.

Not much new. Haven't worked on the car recently. I have most of the parts to complete the install. Just waiting on a few more.

Going to redo the air filters for the turbos as well. I bought some 4" Mandrel bend 90's to connect to the air filters. We will see how that turns out.

Also ordered some tires yesterday. Summit is having a 10% off sale when purchasing $250 worth of parts. It ends tonight at Midnight Eastern time. The code is SUMMIT10. I bought a set of 295/55/15 drag radials and a set of 275/60/15 Radial Pros. Happened to order a set of radial pros for slow94formula too. That delivery should make for a pretty cool picture when it shows up.

The weather still sucks here. Spring never seems like it will show up. Had another 9" of snow on Friday...

Not sure what you mean by this?

I was lucky enough to still be within the one year warranty. I had all sorts of problems with new products on this project. Boost controller, injector, MAP sensor, it has been a long journey.

I didn't want to take shortcuts with the MAP sensor and thought spending a bit more and getting an authentic one would be the right approach. Well, that backfired on me. The LSXtune jackass has not replied back to my email either. Crook!

Hopefully you didn't get the cheap junk I got.
Autometer electric boost gauges come with 3 bar brick map sensors, the part number is the exact same from any other manufacturer out there. I couldn't find a 3 bar map sensor by itself locally.... so I went to the local speed shop and bought an autometer boost gauge that comes with a 3 bar map sensor for 100 or so bucks. Make-a-sense now?

Ive been running this map sensor for 2 years now, no issues.

Awesome build!

I'm up in suburbs of mpls, semi local to you. How you liking this winter? At least it gives a guy some time to do a project

Anyway thanks for the heads up on the summit deal! I think I am going to pull the trigger on my t56 magnum tonight if I can save 10%, I might as well add a sfi bell housing too.

I might be wrong, but I believe that is no longer available...

Suppose the delivery will look something like this?

Thank you.

This winter has been brutal. It has been a long, cold winter. It doesn't help that I finished the car just as winter showed up. I don't remember winter ever being this bad. Just doesn't seem to want to end.

I was hoping for last winter to be able to work on this project. But due to delays with the engine build, it took winter, spring, summer, and fall to get it done.

Even though the weather is still freezing cold, spring is coming. The days are getting longer and the sun is shinning brighter. Not long now and you will be warming up those new tires.

There is a little bit of Spring fever in MN. It was in the mid 40's yesterday (first time above 40 since early December).

We spent a couple hours swapping the front suspension. We pulled the old A-arms and installed the MWC mild steel Upper and Lower A-arms. We also swapped the factory shocks and springs with the new Viking Double Adjustable coilovers.

Don't mind how dirty and ugly some of the stuff is in the wheel well. I already was told I better get the spindles sandblasted and repainted!

Pulled the front bumper again last night to try to tackle the issue of the air filters for the turbos. We were having issues during my dyno session and needed new filter routing ideas. I bought some 4" mandrel bent aluminum to replace the rubber 90 degree bends. The passenger side went in fairly easy. The drivers side will need a small piece of aluminum welded to help the air filter clear. Hopefully will finish that soon.

I got the ride height set for the car. It is really difficult to get a good idea of how it is sitting with a narrow stall in the garage and the hoist in the way. It looks really good from the side, but from the back looks really low. I am going to wait to get it out to wash the car before changing the height. I want to see how it looks out in the open.

Also went to reinstall the Eboost-2 and Zeitronix last night. Everything turned out great with the Eboost but having a couple issues with the Zeitronix. Hoping to hear back from them on that soon.

Just need to finalize the driver's side air filter, get the Zeitronix working, get this thing washed/cleaned up, an alignment and hopefully hit the street soon.

Slow94formula spend an entire day buffing and working some magic on the paint last week. I have been meaning to get this thread updated, but had not yet. Attached are a couple photos with the car cleaned up:

I had the car out and was tearing around a little on wastegate spring. I have a few things to sort out before playing around on more power.

I ran this across the scale to see how heavy it was. The scale rounds to the nearest 20 lbs. This is with no driver, and a full tank of E85.

I tried. He said he'd cut my fingers off if I did it... but I did find him some black ones to buy!

Well, it has been a while on the build thread. I have been out driving the car here and there. Decided to run down to the track last night to put together some low boost runs and try to work on the launch and suspension. I made 6 passes, two of which I ran out through the 1/4.

There is still plenty of tuning to do, both on the engine tune as well as the suspension but this was a good starting point, and first outing.

4000 pound raceweight. I was on a 295/55/15 Mickey Thompson drag radial. I didn't put the MT Pro's on yet.

First full 1/4 mile pass:

Air Temp: 73.4 degrees
Humidity: 83%
Density Altitude: 2333 Feet
Peak Boost: 187kpa (12.42psi)
Average Boost through Run: 181kpa (11.68psi)
Timing: 16 degrees

Size: 659.4 KB

Needless to say, the track officials came over to talk to me about my lack of safety equipment. They told me to keep it to 1/8 mile runs. We made two more 1/8 mile hits but I really wanted that 9 second slip on the first outing. We hot lapped the car to get one more run in before the end of the night.

Second full 1/4 mile pass:

Air Temp: 73.4 degrees
Humidity: 83%
Density Altitude: 2333 Feet
Peak Boost: 204kpa (14.88psi)
Average Boost through Run: 197kpa (13.87psi)
Timing: 11 degrees (timing was pulled due to IAT's)

I know there is plenty more in it. Can't wait to turn it up more. I'm guessing the mph wasn't as good on the higher boost pull due to the timing being pulled. Just something that will need to be looked at and evaluated.
