Is that a Speedway Motors Alt Relocation?

I'm thinking of running one for a future setup, but obviously i'll need to move my ABS.

Yes it is. Really moves the power steering pump up high. Aside from that, it isn't too bad. I wanted to run a downpipe out each side instead of both going through the passenger side. That way I would not have to redo my exhaust. This relocation gave the needed room by moving the alternator.

Seeing that I let the cat out of the bag earlier today, I thought I would go into a little more detail. The new engine is built and the one sitting in the car.

I ordered a Gen 2 LSX block due to the cracked cylinder in my iron block. As soon as I received it, I sent it off for machining.

I was really unsure what I wanted to run for cubic inch. I would prefer a big bore, short stroke. But I wanted to keep as much on the cylinders as well. I called Callies to discuss a 3.825" stroke Dragonslayer. They said they were in production but there was one that was not spoken for. I made a few calls and had the crankshaft about a week later:

From there, I ordered a set of Oliver Speedway Series Rods:

My old Diamond Pistons were in good shape and planning to reuse those. I ordered new wrist pins for those to complete the rotating assembly.

I ordered the ever so difficult to get ARP 625's and had them in two days:

I also ordered the additional studs for 4 bolt to 6 bolt from Brian Tooley:

I am going to run the same cam I was planning before (234°/248°, .612/.596 lift, 116+5). I also ordered a new timing chain:

I think it should make for a fun setup. Might make a few more ponies than last year. Will be right around the same compression, 10:1, 390ci.

Well, FINALLY, I was able to hear this thing run last night:

http://vid221.photobucket.com/albums...pszflshcpq.mp4

Had it idling for a little while last night and fixed any of the new hoses that leaked. The boost control solenoids are mounted, wired, and plumbed.

Also opened the front license to get some air to the intercooler:

A few bugs to work out, a couple more sensors to wire, and hopefully finalize by putting the car back together and getting it on the road.

Just need to get the shifter cable routed an installed and it is road worthy. That will be my primary focus this week now that I am back from my Vegas Vacation.

Cable is connected and the car is mobile. I have gone through a tank of gas of just cruising and breaking things in. Had a few issues to resolve in the tune but should be good for now.

I went out and made a hit on Tuesday and was expecting to be right around wastegate spring. However, I lost a pipe from the driver's side turbo to the merge around 16psi and 3/4 throttle. It was quite the site to look in the mirror and see it bounce in the ditch. Went back through and really tightened up all of the t-bolts on the couplers.

Need to trace some wires and plumbing to find out why it was on a mission instead of at spring. I thought I had verified the boost solenoid wires, but still might have them backwards.

The car is being aligned today and also getting the new front tires mounted. Hopefully will be out making some hits with boost and gathering data this weekend.

I ran the car across the scale last night as well. Came in at 3620 (scale rounds to nearest 20lbs). That is the same as last year. I did not have the door bars, nor my suit or helmet. But I did have the chute and cable on the car. So overall, I think it is pretty close to being the same as last year.

Thank you. Possibly in the future. At this point, I don't have the cage NHRA certified and don't have an NHRA license. I know there are a few minor things left to upgrade to pass tech as well.

Not much is new on this. Just slowly creeping up on the tune. Have only made 14.5 psi so far but planning to turn it up a bit more today. Timing has been on the safe side. Overall, the fuel flow numbers look much better than last year.

Finally got the car aligned as well. It sits way better than before. Also switched to Hoosiers on the front.

Even drove it to work today. Was followed by an officer of the law and I don't think he appreciated my fly by of a few cars to make my exit. But needless to say, I didn't get pulled over.

Was able to get to the track to test out the new combo. I was a little hesitant on the first launch with the new combo. I tied the front end down slightly with the MWC limiters, allowing 3.5" of travel. I also switched to the Mickey Thompson Pro Bracket Radial.

Name: IMG_5229_zpsai75nbqs.jpg

The first pass, I ran wastegate in 1st gear and 18psi in 2nd and 3rd. The limiters really tamed the front so we ramped boost in right away from there on out.

Ended up spinning a couple of passes, but adjusted the rebound on the rear shocks and was able to find traction once again.

Ended up making 7 passes, spun on two of them. Aside from that, they were 9.65@148, 9.27@149, 9.18@152, 9.06@154, and 9.02@155. Wanted the 8 second pass on the first day out, but was quite happy aside from that. No issues at the track. Haven't looked through the logs much but did realize I was out of pump. Can't wait to throw more timing, boost, and launch RPM at it. Need to get this thing on the dyno and dial in the timing and boost and then take it back to see what it can do. Should be back at the track in September.

Not much to report here. Been mostly just out driving this thing around.

I had programed the IRQ Engineering Fuel Sensor Conditioner incorrectly. I was using a Thermistor input instead of a 5V. I forgot that it converts the signal to Voltage from Ohms. It sure is nice to have a fuel gauge again. Especially when getting after it and seeing it quickly drop!

I was informed of some carbon fiber driveshafts for sale. I looked into it and sure enough, one was the exact dimensions that I need. I couldn't turn down the price on them so I ordered that up, and also got one for a buddy as well. 3.75" PST Carbon Fiber.

I put it on the scale and it came in at 10.4lbs with U-joints at each end. I just laughed pulling it out of the box and how light it was. I will weigh the 3" Chromoly one when I swap the two.

Slow94formula and I did a little work on the fuel system tonight. Pulled out the 255 and swapped it for a 3rd Walbro 450. All three slid in the tank with no issue with the float attached. It was worth a laugh or two. Might be getting close to dyno time.

Have some lightweight parts coming/ordered/arriving for the car. Need to shed some weight from this beast.

Damn dude thats a sick build, you didn't mess around on the power plant at all! Keep us updated on how you like the pro bracket radial vs the 275 pro as I'm in the market for either of these right now.

I am not impressed with the PBR at all. I will be sticking with the 275 Pro from now on. The PBR worked just fine at the track but it spins really bad on the street. I have heard others that love the PBR on the street, but not this guy.
