Question Turbo A/C Exhaust

Hey guys I know I am going to catch crap for this but I am going to keep the A/C on my turbo build. I am on my second turbo already because motor plans keep changing, the new was speced to me from Jon at Huron speed well since that time my motor plans have changed thanks to my boss, he gave me a 6.0l block. So long story short I am doing a fully forged 408 with a set of AFR heads. So I called Jon again and he helped get me set in the direction of a new turbo. The turbo will have 4" exhaust.
So my question is, Has anyone here ran a 4" exhaust out the driver side past the steering and all? Or attempted too? I know its tight and I know it may be impossible but I really don't want bumper exit exhaust. If anyone has done it can you post pics and info on it?

This will be on a BMR turbo k-member truck manifold/c6 manifold set up. Turbo should be a 78/96 set up on a 1.00-1.10 a/r.

What are you power goals? A 4inch dp should fit on the drivers side with a turbo k member.

My goal for now is 700-800 wheel. Then once I'm use to that turn it up to 1000+. I'm building the set up to be able to achieve that power goal right from the get go. So I want the turbo to handle it and most turbo's that size have a 4" exhaust.

I have a non turbo k member and got it to fit. With a turbo k it fits easily. Dschmitte has it on it car. No ac, but turbo k member and 4" dp on the drivers side by steering shaft.

Do you happen to have pictures of this? It sounds like as long as you got someone who knows how to do exhaust they should be able to make it fit and work. Did you v-band your truck manifold or did you just leave it the factory 3 bolt flange?

My car is different. I used 5th gen manifolds. On a truck manifold on drivers side you can cut it far enough back and put a v band on it and leave the alternator in stock location, then bring the dp outside of it with a turbo k.

Why would you get crap for keeping your AC? Im a noob sorry, but besides the weight what other disadvantages are there? I've always been planning to keep my ac when I go turbo.

Not everyone will give you crap for keeping the a/c however some will because when your doing a big motor big turbo combo you free up a lot of room on the passenger side to run a down pipe through there with out worrying about room. When keeping your a/c you have to spend a little more money to make your kit work with the space you have. Trying to run a 4" down pipe through the drive side requires more work. I guess its all preference but I want a true street car with all the original factory equipment such as a/c, heat, radio, factory interior. stuff like that.

I already planned on moving the alternator up but I didn't know if v-banding the manifold would gain any extra clearance that would be worth having.

Looks like a 4" dp is a tight fit but it'll make it.

Jon over at Huron Speed told me to do a Hybrid turbo from Comp. A CT43 78mm billet compressor side with a CT5 94 or 96mm hot side. He told me I should easily be able to break 1000 rwhp with this. What do you guys think?

I actually haven't bolted on the hot side yet to see if I can keep the sway bar or not. If I have to I'll make spacers to try and keep it.I have seen a few guys run the down pipe right under the sway bar then back up and over the kmember and out.

Thanks. Having a full exhaust and cutout to access the 4 inch downpipe is one of my favorite items on the car.
