So my high numbers on the speed density tune ended up being 839hp 847rwtq @ 15.77lbs of boost with some bad bad wheelspin on the dyno (puny 245 tires on stock 16s) which caused a dip in the graph. My tuner said he had troubles keeping it from spinning on the dyno.

Still on the 20g's?

and is your tuner attributing these gains to just removing the MAF?

Please post a dyno slip or video, and people will want proof since you are now the highest HP stock bottom end blower car. Good work. How much boost out of that Ysi?

Yea still on the 20g's. The gains arent all from removing the maf I'm sure but could be in part. Stock maf has to be pegged at these levels I have to believe. I had him do a speed density tune on the car so I'm sure with that being more involved than a standard maf tune he tweaked things here and there. Maybe more aggressive timing since I'm on E85, not sure on the details yet. I wont pretend to know all of what was done tune-wise, i get lost with a lot of that. I'll ask more specifics when i take delivery of the car. There were some imperfections from the paint shop so he's having them redo the hood.

What is the stock 5.7 1/4 record anyway?

I went 1 whole mph faster this year (154) with a gen4 alum 5.3, untouched 243 heads @ 21lbs. Isky Trip 12 cam, Small S475 cast turbo.

According to this list its 839hp, but i recently saw that someone at RPM made 847ish(?) on an ls6 with a YSI. That is the absolute highest i have ever seen out of a stock bottom ls1/ls6. My goal has always been to push this to 850 but i may have to do 860 now lol. Im really not worried about the motor since these are only dyno pulls, I'm just not sure ill be able to squeeze enough boost out of this turbo to hit it.

Regardless of what it makes i really want to get into the 9's this year with the stock bottom end and 6spd. Car is 3600lb's so itll be tough

and i was rather liking the #1 spot

cant wait to see what you can muster out of the stock 5.7. Its crazy what can be done with these things these days. My tuner said that my car was actually his 2nd highest hp STOCK ls engine he's put out. I cant for the life of me remember what his highest was.

SERB ZO6 has the #2 spot for the 5.7's with a ysi, did he make more power or are you referring to a different car?

Yea I should of clarified. I don't consider dyno numbers a "record" for anything. Go to 10 different Dynos you'll get 10 different power numbers. I was asking about the boosted stock LS1 quarter mile record.

Lol hey i might not hit it, no reason not to try though! I've been waiting to build a motor but this stocker wants to keep running so I'm going to keep pushing it.

Its seriously looking like these are getting stronger with age. I know tuning has come a long way and better turbine technology is really starting to take off with the OEM's going boosted, but you just didnt see this many stock motor cars making so much power years ago.

Im not sure if its his car or not. I saw it on RPM's facebook, not tech. I'm not even sure it was RPM at this point, all I know it was at as reasonably well known shop. If he chimes back in and says he turned it up, i wouldnt be surpised.
